Wet N Wild Fergie Gift Set At Ross Stores

During Mother's Day Weekend I went to a Ross store to purchase my Dress and shoes but I also found the Wet N Wild Fergie Set at the front of the store.
The set retails $5.99 which is a great deal because the total retail value of the kit is worth $15.

The set contains:
The Maldives Sky eyeshadow Palette $4.99
The Fergie Wet Wild Primer For My Primas $4.99
The Fergie Wet N Wild Creme Liner in Little Black Dress $4.99

Let's review the Creme liner:
  • The color is black and it's very pigmented
  • The liner is smudge proof
  • The liner glides on easily
  • it comes with a liner brush

The Primer:
  • The primer was a little oily when I first opened it
  • After I shook it, it worked better
  • When I swatched the primer on my wrist (the little beige dot next to the white shadow) and it let it dry, it crumbled off and it was hard to come off
  • On the lid it worked fine and held the eyeshadow without creasing

The 5 Eyeshadow Palette Maldives Sky:
  • The colors are pigmented
  • The colors are not easy to work with
  • The colors fade while applying them on the lid so you have to keep layering them
  • The shadows are better used over a base and primer
  • The shadows do have fall out and are chalky
  • These are horrible quality shadows

Here is my shadow look results using Maldives Sky.

"I hated it lol"

I will never use them together again, they were constantly fading so I had to keep layering them over and over again. I was pretty much frustrated and upset with these shadows considering they are beautiful in color and in pigmentation when swatched, but on the lids it's another story. You can actually see the chalky effect it gives and I look I touched shadows for the first time and didn't know what I was doing. Ugh! not cool:(

But again, this is my opinion how I felt with these shadows and I will never buy it again.

Overall, The items worth value to me is the liner and primer, I actually bought the set for the primer alone but I thought that purple in the palette would be nice too. So that is why I ran with this purchase.

In a rating of 1 out of 10 I give this Fergie Wet n Wild kit a 4.

Essence Cosmetics: All About Candies Eyeshadow Palette and Tutorial

Yesterday, I reviewed All about Paradise from Essence Cosmetics and today is "all about Candies".
These beautifully pigmented pastel shadows are shimmery with a buttery texture.
All about Candies can be worn as a base or as a wash of color to create soft eye looks.

The 6 pastel colors included are yellow, pink, lilac, peach, blue and a mint green.

Here are the swatches!
The one on the right is searched with primer making them pop more and pigmented.

When I saw All about Candies, it reminded me of the Sigma Creme de Couture Palette. And I said to myself "I'll grab All about Candies to act as a base for the Sigma ones. The two are pictured below.

So before using them as bases, I tried them as straight shadows with only primer.
I must say I was a little disappointed with the way it showed on my eyes.
They creased on me in the hot sun and they looked very sheer.
But when I layered the sigma ones on top they looked very nice.
I do think nextime, I should add a sticky base like a NXY jumbo pencil in milk so they can show up more when I apply them alone.

So, here's an example on how they showed up layered with the Creme De Couture.
My favorite in the essence palette is the blue shadow.
Oops, I didn't wear mascara here or a lip product. Lol
But these are definately pastels that will brighten your eyes and give you a bright eyed awaken fresh look.

Now, here's a YouTube tutorial from Emma Norggard I found that can give you an idea if you want to try them yourself for $4.99 at Ulta.

Most of these video tutorials are from over seas because Essence Cosmetics is from Germany and they are branched out in Europe, Canada, and North America.

The Organic Face Femme Fatale Eyeshadow Quad And Giveaway!

Press Sample: Product given by the Company for Testing and Review Purposes.

Ooh, do I have a beautiful shadow quad to show you. It's called Mesa from the Organic Face.

These shimmery metallic shadows with gold undertones are very beautiful and pigmented and the packaging is super cute!

The Mesa Quad is encased in a silver round case with a mirror and with the hot pink Organic Face logo and is 10 grams.

These shadows retail for $24.99 and can be purchased on

Here are some swatches:
First row is without primer and second row is with primer

A Peach shade, A Bronze Shade, A Terracota and an Olive Green Shade
All Have Gold Flecks in them which is pretty cool and makes them unique

These Earthy Toned colors are silky and long wearing and can be worn dry or wet or transformed into an eyeliner.

I was surprised with the first color on the left which is like a light peach swatched but when I applied it to my lid, it turned into a darker peach almost bronze color. So to me, that was a relief because swatched it looked very sheer.

I decided to do a couple of looks with this quad and I'm very pleased with these shadows.

Here are the Mesa Femme Fatale Shadow ingrediants :
Mica (CI 77019), Oryza sativa (Rice) Powder*, Zinc Stearate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Panthenol, Origanum Vulgare Leaf Extract, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme)Extract, Cinnamomum Zeylanicum Bark Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Lavendula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Extract
Hydrastis Canadensis (Golden Seal) Root Extract

And here is the first look I did with the Mesa Quad.
I decided to use 2 shadows for a more natural look and to show that using two shadows can also be enough in a look.

So, I used the light peach on my lids and lower lash line and the bronze on my crease and lower lash line as well. I also winged the shadow out a bit something I really don't do but I wanted to experiment. Because, the quad does not have a lighter color I decided to use a highlighter creamy pencil for my browbone and I tight lined my eyes with a black kohl pencil.

For the second look I decided to use the olive color with gold flecks on my lid and the terra-cotta color on my crease and I used both of these colors for my lower lash line. The look came out very elegant yet very simple and very easy to accomplish just by adding some mascara ,tight lightning my eyes with a black kohl pencil and lining my water line.
I did use a flesh toned shadow for my browbone as a highlight. But the choice is yours on how you opt to wear this quad.
Mesa is also great for creating  daytime and evening looks.

Overall, I was very impressed with the texture and pigmentation of these shadows. I do wish they had names on them and maybe a highlighter shade in the center but I guess it wouldn't be considered a quad then lol

But Yes, these shadows are gorgeous and they lasted well over 8 hours on my lids with primer.
