Lipsense Fleur de Lisa

Lip sense is taking social media by storm even though it was out in the year 1999, I never heard of it until now.
I was happy to collaborate on FB with a beautiful distributor and do a first time live video of me applying it on camera. I was very nervous but happy I did it because this product needs mentioning.
It's incredible how it can last up to 18 hours! of course it's been great for 10 hours so far lol It's kiss proof, smudge proof, waterproof and looks great on the lips.
The lipsense kit is 55 bucks and it includes a color, a gloss and the Oops remover that fixes application mistakes or when it's applied on the lips to remove the lip color with a cotton pad.
The color is not easy to remove hence that's why it stays on that long.
Some people use Neutrogena soap to remove it, others try Coconut Oil with sugar, Olive Oil and waterproof makeup remover. I prefer the Oops remover.

Recently, I entered an IG contest and I couldn't believe I won a lipsense color in the shade Fleur de Lisa. It's a beautiful cool pink with glitter particles. If you would like to purchase lipsense for 25 bucks, keep in mind you would need the gloss as well. In reality, it is an investment and not all of us can afford it but if you can and are interested then contact Dacia another beautiful ditributor on IG or Facebook on the links below.

Here's a quick and fun video I made demonstrating this kiss proof, smudge proof and waterproof liquid lippie.

Oh yes, lip sense  smells like citrus and may tingle or burn at first application which almost made me give up on it but then It went away. This is why in the video below...

Fleur de Lisa on différent skin tones:)

Here's some detailed info from Senegence the company that makes lipsense:

The premier product for SeneGence is patented LipSense Liquid Lip Color. LipSense is an amazing departure from conventional lipsticks and lip colors found on the market today.
LipSense comes in a wide variety of shades and textures; Frosts, Mattes, and Shimmers. LipSense lip colors are perfect to mix and match; LipSense is versatile in that you can use LipSense shades to create a number of effects.
LipSense is initially sold as a set, which includes LipSense Liquid Lip Color, a moisturizing Gloss, and an Ooops!™ Remover. Users should have a remover in the event they need to remove the product.
The Science Behind the Product
This unique product is waterproof and does not kiss off, smear off, rub off, or budge off! And, just as important it does not dry out your lips. In fact, it restores the moisture content of your lips when used properly. LipSense Liquid Lip Color can last anywhere between 4 and 18 hours.
LipSense is a non-wax liquid lip color that stays on your skin. LipSense provides a natural shield from the sun. The proprietary formulations and color pigments in LipSense help create a mechanical covering for the lips. That means the skin on your lips are protected from the sun’s rays by the color pigments, therefore your lips are more protected from harmful rays. That is just one of the reasons your lips become so smooth and soft with consistent use of LipSense.:
The patented formulation technology includes Cosmetic grade Denatured Alcohol, which is nothing close to Isopropyl Alcohol–or rubbing alcohol. In fact, you need Denatured Alcohol to apply LipSense to lips. While rubbing alcohol instantly removes LipSense from the skin. We do not recommend the use of rubbing alcohol on the skin because it dries out the skin. LipSense is formulated with Denatured Alcohol because:
  • It is thinner than water and suspends the tiny particles within the formula.
  • It immediately evaporates from the skin upon the delivery of the technology to the skin. (The “tingling” sensation felt on the lips, when some wearers first begin to use the color, is the evaporation process of the Denatured Alcohol felt within the dry cracks of the lips. This sensation disappears as lower layers of skin’s moisture content are restored by the use of the moisturizing gloss.)
Tiny Particles: The particles that help the color pigments to molecularly bind to the skin (see Ingredient listing). Over time, the particles begin to detach from the skin’s surface. The rate at which this occurs varies tremendously and is based upon the pH-balance of each person’s skin and the color they’ve chosen to wear for the day.
Color Pigments: Each tube of color has a varied formulation and mixture of color pigments to arrive at a specific color. Some colors naturally last longer than others because of the different body chemistry of each wearer, plus some colors are thicker or richer in color pigmentations, while others are sheer and thinner.
Layering LipSense: Layering LipSense is a must due to the fact the color breaks down with the pH balance of the skin.
1st layer: touches the skin’s pH and will begin to break down first and fastest.
2nd layer: protected from the bottom, away from the skin’s pH, by the first layer.
3rd layer: protects the second layer from the top down and prevents sheering of second layer of color by keeping away friction, saliva, and the natural environment. The third layer breaks down just like the first layer, but from the top down. The second layer is sandwiched between the first and third and is protected by both for the longest period of use.
Mica: LipSense Lip Colors formulated with Micas do not tend to wear as long as the solid matte shades of LipSense. Micas create shine and shimmer. They reflect light and are made of particles that are larger than color pigments. Micas and may flick off the skin with regular skin movements. Talking and scraping lip movements like drinking from a cup can facilitate this process. You can assume up to an hour of less wear when wearing a Mica color.
Glossing: It is important to know the long-lasting properties of LipSense are enhanced by any of the LipSense moisturizing glosses. The gloss products also help to keep the lips moist and plump.

Key Ingredients and Benefits
LipSense Long-Lasting Liquid Lip Color is made of a combination of ingredients. Here are a few key components:
  • Denatured Alcohol: used as a delivery system for the color technology; creates a germ and bacteria-free environment.
  • Paeonia Suffruticosa Root (Tree Peony) Extract: a natural calming plum flower herb.
  • Hypericum Perforatum (St. John’s Wort) Extract: also known as St John’s Wort, a natural herb used to elavate mood and treat depressions.
  • Tilia Cordata (Linden) Flower Extract: a natural flower extract rich in flavonoids and a powerful anti-oxidant.
  • Isodonis Japonicus Extract: Fragrant plant extract that contains terpenes, shown to have medicinal properties to soothe skin.
  • Mica: an earth mineral used to give products sparkle and shine. Titanium Dioxide: an inert earth mineral used as a thickening ingredient and sunscreen in cosmetics. It protects skin from UVA and UVB radiation and is considered to have no risk of skin irritation.
Note: Just as important as what is in LipSense, is what is not! LipSense is formulated with no wax, lead, or animal by-products.

Arctic Fox Virgin Pink

Hi all,
I'm so giddy about today's post because my hair just took a turn for the brightest and vivid color ever.
I had no intention of getting it so in yo face lol but after it was all done and left on my hair for 2 hours and 40 minutes, the results were out of this world.
Ok, so remember how I said in my last post, I was going to try a new hair dye by Arctic Fox?
Well, I went for it and got it on Amazon in the color Virgin Pink for $10.99.

It totally smells like grape candy no kidding and it's very pigmented. You can choose to dilute it with white conditioner or their Arctic Mist to make it a pastel or a diffrent pink.
I decided to take the strand test method for 30 minutes and the pre softening gray method for 15 minutes to achieve the first round of color preference. In the picture below, you will see that strand is more of a cooler soft pink which made me excited and my gray was grabbing the color as well.

Again, I'm new into these fantasy colors so I'm bound to make mistakes. When I was ready to do my whole head, I decided to leave the color way longer and Boom the pictures speak for themselves. I know the color will fade which will be nice if it fades to a beautiful toned down pink. But I'm super impressed with this product and how well it took my gray as well. So far I give Arctic Fox Virgin Pink 2 thumbs up :) and it did not stain my pillowcase. Yay!

                                                    My before

What I was expecting! this was my 30 min strand test

What I got!
My hubby said I reminded him of the movie Trolls. LOL
This color is Amazing!

All dolled up! Virgin Pink even grabbed some of my darker hair as well.

Stay tuned for my next post on The Color Wheel Gallery

Celeb Luxury Viral Colorwash

Hello everyone,
Today’s blog post is about a colorposit shampoo called Viral colorwash by Celeb Luxury.
I ordered mine on Ebay for less because this shampoo retails for 35 bucks in salons and unfortunately it’s not available at Sallys :(

The color I got was in pastel light pink and it is very pigmented and has a citrusy scent.
As you all know from the previous post, I tried the Manic Panic in Cotton Candy Pink and though it looked vibrant and beautiful the first week, I began to notice it was fading much quicker than my Pravana pink so I wanted to try something different to halt the fading process as much as I could besides the dye in the conditioner method so I purchased the Viral Colorwash. It's pigmented, concentrated and it cleanses and colors your hair at the same time.

This shampoo deposits color on your hair while you are washing it and you determine how long you leave it on to reach the vibrancy you want or you can do quick washes after the other. My first attempt using it, I decided to try it on dry hair and leave it on for 20 to 30 min.
It looked great like an instant dye job and when a week later passed, I decided to use it as a shampoo and did a quick wash for 6 minutes and it worked really well. I will soon try 2 quick washes so it can grab even more. The only thing I did notice is that it does not cover gray or color dark parts of the hair but at least it covered my highlights and made them pink, not pastel but pink and I was totally fine with that. When using this product, I highly suggest after washing your hair to use a conditioner so it won’t dry out your locks.

This 8.25 oz shampoo is an investment but it really does keep your hair color from fading the more you use it.
So now there are two options to keep your color from fading, dye in conditioner method or Viral Colorwash while you shampoo your hair.

The lighter dab swatch is Pravana pink mixed in with my conditioner.

These shots are my before with the manic panic in Cotton Candy Pink. You can already see the fade...

Using Viral Colorwash as a dye on dry hair for 20-30 minutes
The results

The roots are coming in LOL The next hair dye I will be trying is Arctic Fox Virgin Pink, hopefully it  will tone down my black roots and grab my white hair.

Here’s the Celeb Luxury website so you can read all about their product line and find the one that works for you. http://www.celebluxury.com/products/#viral
